Villarreal are said to be considering a move for a Manchester United player as they plan ahead for a possible exit.
Yeremy Pino appears to be the next player on the list as far as the Yellow Submarine’s high-profile exits are concerned. Dani Parejo could depart next summer given his age and diminishing popularity, while Juan Foyth is always going to attract interest due to his quality.
But Yeremy is the man who will attract the most interest given the quality he has shown for club and country, while he is still only 20 years of age.
Yeremy has a contract until 2027, and his release clause is as high at 80million euros, but Villarreal could sell for a little less depending on the interest. That’s not to say they need to, given the sales of Pau Torres, Nicolas Jackson and Samu Chukwueze have their bank balance looking very healthy, but there may be a prime time to sell if there is any inkling that Yeremy’s value isn’t going to keep trending upwards.
In any case, Gol are reporting that Villarreal are already planning for a possible Yeremy exit, and it’s claimed United’s Facundo Pellistri could be an option.
Pellistri is only under contract until 2025, and he may be sacrificed by United if they want to strengthen out wide in the summer.
The Uruguayan has been in and out at Old Trafford, but he has made six first-team appearances this season, while he made 11 appearances last season.
Pellistri is highly rated, but he is in need of regular football, and that is another factor behind a possible summer exit. Villarreal could be interested wether Yeremy leaves or not, given their healthy relatively healthy bank balance, and Pellistri could join Ilias Akhomach on the club’s list of exciting young wingers as Villarreal look to reduce the age of their squad.
