If you used Apple News to access this, the video link from Jamie’s summary is probably stripped out, which is just another reminder to you that Apple is literally the evil emperor from Star Wars so for Alderaan’s sake stop giving them your money.

Key highlights come mostly on the injury front:

Gerard Moreno: Out

Francis Coquelin: Suspended

Samu Chukwueze: Out

Dani Raba: Out

Juan Foyth: Good to go

I personally think Gerard and Samu would make us far far more dangerous against this United side. Ole seems to be anticipated deep set defending banks in this one and he’s probably not wrong but I would like to see us control the ball for long spells like we did against Real Madrid. The best defense against this side is probably not giving them chances to shoot. Their first choice midfield is strong creatively but they don’t have a workhorse ball possessor like we do in Dani Parejo, and while Manu Trigueros won’t give us the disruptive influence that Coquelin provided against Real Madrid he’s a much better passer.

Looking at the shape of the group as a whole, even assuming Atalanta don’t foul up against Young Boys like United did, a draw here should do us just fine. If we beat Young Boys twice, and don’t lose against either United or Atalanta, it’ll be a close shave but I like our chances to advance. If YB can get another win and then we can beat them twice? So much the better.
