Villarreal Women has started their first season at the top flight with a good foot so far earning four points albeit they showcase one little problem of which is the offensive production, having scored one goal. On the bright side, they have only conceded twice, which is also a good sign about their defensive prowess.
Their debut was on the road, when they visited Sporting Huelva, one of the teams aiming to remain on the top flight for another season. They did a good match but couldn’t manage to get a single goal, ending on a goalless draw.
Next match was against Eibar. This was another important match as Eibar having lost Kgatlana has to find another way to spice things up. Villarreal did another good match, and finally managed to get their first win in Primera with a goal from Sheila.

Here entered the international break where Tere Morató (Andorra), Oprea (Romania), Giménez (Venezuela) and Pancha Lara (Chile) played some international games. Morató won against Liechtenstein, Oprea got two wins against Croatia and Lithuania, Giménez got another win against Yaracuyanos, while Pancha Lara had a double friendly against Uruguay, with a win and a draw.
After the break, the next match was against Alavés, the other promoted team for this season. This game could be considered their worst, with Alavés getting the upper hand near the twenty minute mark thanks to a goal from Ohale. Villarreal tried to score a goal, but Alavés ended scoring another one near the end of the match to make it two and thus, Villarreal have suffered their first loss in Primera.

Next match is this coming Wednesday against Barcelona. Currently, their women’s team is leading the league with three wins out of three games, with eighteen goals scored and none received. A tough match where Villarreal will have it bad to get a good result. After that game, their next stop is in Euskadi against Real Sociedad, who as Barcelona, has won their three matches.
