The league season is over; despite playing pretty well and getting a nice win over Sevilla, it wasn’t enough to get us into fifth or sixth (though it seemed like it might be for awhile). Allen and Sid cover the end of the season first, but then we get into the real fun—the Europa League Final.

There is some optimism that we’ll recover Juan Foyth and Samu Chukwueze for Wednesday. Could they start? If not, when could they see action? We talk about that, sure, but mostly we reflect on what making it to the final has meant and why—regardless of result—we should savor it. (The only prediction we’ll make is we think Gerard Moreno will score; other than that, who knows).

Fans travelling to the match have to submit a negative PCR test for COVID-19 before flying to Poland, and the labs are in full swing processing those; Santi Cazorla and Bruno Soriano watched practice today. Team flags are flying above the town hall and the hermitage of San Pascual. Less than 48 hours until the match.

Endavant Villarreal.
