On The Spot Report: Atlético Madrid Assault Villarreal in 0-2 Victory

Villarreal took to the field against a high flying Atletico Madrid. The Colchoneros got back on track with their title run with a 2-0 Victory against the Yellow Submarine.

27 minutes in Villarreal’s luck finally ran out when it came to VAR. A beautiful cross from Thomas Lemar the ball flew to far post. Savic was in a perfect position to head towards the goal. Despite this new found attacking threat of Estupinan and Carlos Bacca. Villarreal were quickly undone in the 69th Minute. The ball was curled into the box from what seemed a harmless cross. Pau Torres felt the need to dive header the ball away. The ball fell to a free Joao Felix on the box sent a beautiful long distance shot into the top right hand corner.

No wins in 7 matches, 5 draws and 2 defeats as the Yellow Submarine continues to sink. Emery will be hoping the winning run in the Europa League.
