The last two matches for Villarreal femenino left some good results. After drawing at home Fundación Albacete, first goal was a golazo by Sara Medina, the second one was a simpler affair, winning Valencia B by a scoreboard of 1-2 with two goals of Sheila Guijarro. This brace by Sheila puts her as the second top scorer of the team, and the group, only two behind the eleven goals done by Salma

The B team has also been playing their league, with a bag of mixed results, more recently their 1-1 draw against Discóbolo La Torre. Nevertheless, they are in a great position in the group, twelve points clear of relegation, with Vera Rico as their highest scorer with nine goals.

Meanwhile. the Femenino C has not played a competitive match since last December due to the regulations from the COVID-19 pandemic in the Valencian Community, which has postponed all regional football for two months so far. They are right now playing to avoid relegation back to Primera Regional.

But maybe the biggest news you can find on the women’s side is the medal won by Salma Paralluelo on athletics at the Spanish indoor championship, in the discipline of 400-meters dash. She finished the semifinal with 54.32, the third best time overall and her season best for semifinals. The final, done on Sunday, saw her run at 53.92, earning thus the bronze medal, with a difference closer to one second (1.18) from the winner, and 0.30 from the second. A great result for her, where she was expected to finish third. As a trivia, she competes with Playas de Castellón, a team part of Villarreal program Endavant Esports, where Villarreal sponsors and aids sports clubs around the province. A great talent, both on the field and on the track.
