Unai Emery finalizes his coaching staff

Former Arsenal, PSG, and Sevilla boss settling in at Villarreal

Emery has all his new coaching staff ready as confirmed this morning. We already knew Imanol Idiakez, former colleague from Sanse, would be his assistant replacing long time coach Juan Carlos Carceda who will start his adventure this season with UD Ibiza in Segunda B. Xisco Nadal will return to do the functions of delegate. This coaching staff will have six new faces.

Víctor Mañas will be in charge of doing analysis with Pablo Villanueva and Pablo Rodríguez in the technical assistant role. Javi García will be the one working with Sergio Asenjo and Andrés Fernández as the goalkeeping coach. Adolfo Muñoz will be the head of medical services. Finally, last but not for it less important, Mario Segarra has been promoted from Villarreal B. Of all of them, I’m very happy for Mario to get this big opportunity as he’s from my hometown and I have met him before. A former fitness coach in UD Vall de Uxó, Preferente team with a collaboration agreement with Villarreal, which shows that Villarreal mantains a good lookup during the numerous fields of the region to get the best people from Castellón province for them

This new coaching staff will surely have a lot of work to do, as this season there are a lot of high expectations for the team, and people like Parejo, Coquelin and Kubo can surely make fans dream of a qualification for Champions League, or a great showcase in the Europa League.
