Villarreal lodge official bid for Zambo Anguissa

According to Sky Sports, Villarreal have lodged a 22m (Euros) bid for Zambo Anguissa. If you’ve read the blog for any period of time you know I’m very high on Zambo, I think he is a great ball progresser and a very good advanced presser. No matter what formation we end up running next season I would want Zambo in it.

The report had been when the loan first happened that 25m was the buy option that Villarreal had. If this is the case then Fulham aren’t ‘considering’ the bid as Sky reports, it’s just a formality that will end up with it being done. If there is any negotiation to be done, we probably won’t know the result until Fulham completes their competition for Premier League promotion. If they are going back to the top flight, they’ll probably want Zambo on the field for them.

So basically, if you are like me and you are really pulling for Zambo to be in yellow next year- hope Fulham loses. If Fulham are back in the money pit that is the Championship again next year they’ll want every dime they can get and Zambo should move over to us no problem. Otherwise, they’ll have 100m in tv money headed their way and will not be nearly as desperate to sell.
