Villarreal at Real Valladolid: Gamethread

Endavant!

It’s matchday again. Time to dust ourselves off and recover from a disappointing midweek. We’ve got it all to play for the rest of the way as we are two points out of a European place and really only five points out of a Champions League spot. In order to have successful seasons in football you have to be able to grind out ugly wins and that is probably what the Valladolid match will require. They’ll turn this match into the football equivalent of trench warfare and we have to be opportunistic and ready to take the good chance when it comes.

By the time our match begins we’ll know the result of the Getafe-Valencia match and that will be very informative as we are just three points behind the bats in chasing Europe. Other key matches this weekend to our interests will be Granada vs Atletico and the Basque Derbi. If we can get our win at least one of these matches should produce a result that tips scales in our favor. Ideally we want a Getafe win, a Granada win, and a Basque draw.

Wherever you may be catching the match, join us in the comment section. Endavant Villarreal!!
