Last season, we lost to all the teams that were eventually relegated. Real Valladolid are probably going to be relegated. That makes this match an opportunity for Unai Emery and his side to show they have a different mindset than the one that dropped crucial points against weaker foes and missed out on Champions League qualification last season.
We can’t take Valladolid lightly, but we do need to win.

The best number 7 in La Liga returns tonight which is wonderful news for groguets everywhere. I was hoping Estupinan would make it back into the lineup as well, but overal no real surprises here. Given the low block Valladolid is likely to employ for long stretches I really like the inclusion of Trigueros with Iborra as the double pivot, and I expect him to have a good match. Chukwueze over Take on the right makes total sense to me. Look for him to supply width on the right and a lot of interplay with a dropping Gerard. Moi on the left will likely drop more centrally to give us a faux third midfielder.

Orellana more or less drug Eibar to safety before his contract ran out last season. He’s dangerous and we should watch him very closely. He has yet to contribute to a goal this season but consistently since 2012-2013 and scored or assisted 15 goals last year so do not take him lightly.
Thoughts?
It’s a match we should win. Getting the three points would allow us to keep pace with the wide array of teams in this league doing well so far this season.
