Honestly, I am not sure whether I will be around at game time so hopefully a few of you can hop in the comments and keep me apprised here. Winning on the road in La Liga is never easy, and our opponents will be desperate for a win to remain secure above the drop zone. Despite a very nice second half performance at mid week, I am still not entirely convinced by our recent form. Hopefully we will be prepared to play. Lucas Perez and Joselu are good players up front, and our back line will have to be ready to play.
Pau, Gerard and Bruno (yeah, yeah, I know) are out injured for this one. Anguissa is still one yellow from a suspension so that might be something to keep an eye out for. Alaves is near the bottom of the league in expected goals against so we should have our fair share of chances if we are able to take them, I’m really hoping Samu getting on the board last match puts his confidence at a place that he can get a really good performance today. I hate to keep saying this, but this is a game that we absolutely should win. It’s just a matter of whether we put in a performance that deserves it.

I really haven’t been impressed with Bacca in front of goal today but he should have his fair share of opportunities against this back line. Perfect opportunity for him and Samu to have a good night.

Not too much surprising here. Alaves really does have some decent talent going forward but they make up for it by being vulnerable in the back.
On my tv, the match will be on the Spanish format of Bein Sports. Endavant Villarreal!
