Villarreal’s B team started slowly this season, but seems to be beginning to turn it on. Today’s 2-0 win at Ejea was the mini Submarine’s second on a row, and moves the B team up to sixth, temporarily.
Samule Chukwedze nearly scored in the first minute with a shot off the bar, but it was Simón Moreno who put us in front in the 39th minute and finished off the home side with another goal just before the hour mark, Emmanuel Lomotey providing an assist.
Andrei Ratiu, who has been called up to Romania’s under-21 side for matches in October, was again a key player in our back four. Having successfully navigated this challenge on Ejea’s artificial pitch, the B-boys are back home in Vila-real next weekend, taking on Sabadell. Endavant!
