Villarreal U-23’s will face Arsenal in semifinal

Villarreal defeated Manchester United 2-0 in its quarterfinal match, and now they know they’ll be drawn against Arsenal in the semifinals of the Premier League U-23 International Cup. Arsenal defeated Dinamo Zagreb 2-1 in their quarterfinal match.

Villarreal won this competition in 2016; last year’s winners, Porto, are in the other semifinal and will face either Newcastle or Sunderland—they play tomorrow.

The date and venue for the clash against the Gunners hasn’t been announced yet, but we’ll let everyone know when it has been. Anyone who could go and support the young Submarine players (especially if you have a Villarreal USA scarf to wave as you do so) should go!
