A collection of various news items involving Villarreal:

MARCA (in Colombia, at least) reported Villarreal isn’t going to resign Carlos Bacca. At €15-18m, probably not; the thought is Villarreal is trying to get the price down from AC Milan. This article notes that Milan might not have that many other options, so I expect negotiations for a lower price will continue.

Midfielders: One possibility is Maxime Gonalons, who joined Roma from Lyon this year but hasn’t featured much. Word is we are interested in him. He’s 29, Roma paid about €6m for him.

Sander Berge is another who we are apparently interested in; Norwegian international playing for Genk (though he’s been injured, apparently). Genk would want €10-15m for him perhaps.

Word was we were scouting a couple of Red Bull Salzburg players, too, including Valon Berisha, 25 year-old midfielder.

EPM also reports we are interested in Lucas Verissimo, a young defender currently playing for Santos.
