Espanyol-Villarreal PREVIEW

New, comments

Tough match coming up for us.

Espanyol host Villarreal on Sunday with the Yellow Submarine needing to pick up a win to keep in fifth place or slide down the table. The Barcelona side haven’t won in five matches themselves, but they are a dangerous proposition.

Key man for them—of course—is Gerard Moreno, who has spurned a return to Villarreal in order to play for the pericos. Leo Baptistao, another ex-amarillo, is likely to feature in the starting XI as well.

The latest bad news for Villarreal is Samu Castillejo is out with a muscle injury. Our team call is:

Keepers: Asenjo, Barbosa

Defenders: Mario, Alvaro, Ruiz, Jaume Costa, Rukavina, Bonera

Midfielders: Cheryshev, Fornals, Trigueros, Rodri, Javi Fuego, Soriano, Raba

Strikers: Bacca, Unal, Roger Martinez

We’ve drawn our last three matches at the Cornellà stadium and I don’t expect this one to be any different. Prediction: 1-1
