I can’t complain too much about that except I would have liked to see Toko Ekambi instead of Gerard—still, benching him the last match before the holidays might not be the best thing. Or maybe it would—I don’t know.

Our bench: Andres, Ruiz, Pedraza, Toko Ekambi, Javi Fuego, Santi Cazorla, Layun.

I am a little concerned about the Trigueros/Caseres pivote, but this sort of looks like a lineup where our new coach needs to see for himself how things work out—and we’ll see what sort of changes he has made from Calleja’s approach with essentially the same players.
