Villarreal host Leganés at the Ceramica tomorrow in the second leg of their Round of 16 Copa del Rey tie. Los Pepineros have never made it to the final eight of the cup, and Villarreal will be hoping to get there for the sixth time, though they’ve only made it to the semifinals once.

Leganés hold a 1-0 lead, so it’s incumbent on the Yellow Submarine to take the game to a side that will probably be happy to sit back and defend while looking to hit Villarreal on the break, knowing an away goal would probably win the tie.

Our squad is as follows:

Keepers:

  • 1. Sergio Asenjo; 25. Barbosa.

Defenders:

  • 2. Mario Gaspar; 3. Álvaro; 5. A. Marín; 6. Víctor Ruiz; 22. Rukavina; 23. Bonera.

Midfielders:

  • 7. Cheryshev; 8. P. Fornals; 10. S. Castillejo; 14. M. Trigueros; 16. Rodrigo; 26. Ramiro; 28. Raba.

Strikers:

  • 9. Bacca; 15. Enes Ünal; 24. R. Martínez.

The big news is new man Roger Martinez is in the squad; he probably won’t start, but should see some action. Otherwise, with Roberto Soriano and Sansone still out, Raba and Ramiro see action, while Adrian Marin comes in for Jaume Costa. Javi Calleja has said “we’ll go for it from the first minute”. A strong early start would be a good thing for the Yellows!

Prediction: Villarreal 2-1 Leganés (Lega advance on away goals).
