Soldado leaving (it’s OFFICIAL), Marín injured again....so much for a quiet August

Hopefully the club has replacement lined up

The rumor of Roberto Soldado’s departure sure didn’t take long to go from speculation to rumor to.....it’s happening, guys. Soldado didn’t train with the team today, is apparently in Turkey or on his way there, and the deal has been announced as OFFICIAL on Villarreal’s website.

One has to think the club has a replacement lined up—let’s hope so. (Javi Mata has apparently said it’s Gerard Moreno, whom we own 50% of at the moment anyhow; I’m holding out for Luciano Vietto myself).

Meanwhile, Adrian Marin is continuing to suffer from knee discomfort and is being examined in Gijon to see if he will need an operation—which will keep him out four months. Apparently his knee troubles are related to his growth spurts.
