Alfonso Pedraza watch: Leeds fall out of playoff places

Not Pedraza’s fault, mind you.

A big Holiday Monday in England saw Brighton win promotion to the promised land—er, the Premier League—and Newcastle are almost there, but the playoff places (3rd through 6th) are quite tight. Reading are on 79 points, Huddersfield Town on 78, Sheffield Wednesday on 75. Fulham won today to move to 73 points, while Leeds lost at home to Wolves and remain on 73 points, with inferior goal difference.

As has generally happened, Alfonso Pedraza started on the left wing of a 4-2-3-1 with Chris Wood up top, played 70+ minutes before being substituted. For what it’s worth, Whoscored gave him one of the higher ratings for Leeds on the day. I just wonder if they are relying a little too much on Wood (25 of their 56 goals this season).
