Pablo Fornals collapsed during training and has been ruled out for the Barcelona match tomorrow. He was taken to hospital and apparently was suffering from low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). His absence is a big loss for Villarreal, because Fornals has been one of our prime “chance creators” so far this season, even though he has not scored yet himself.
Fornals went to the hospital in Castellón for tests and observation, has been discharged and returned home. Often people with low blood sugar are diabetic or pre-diabetic, so I am sure more tests will be run on Pablo to see if either is the case. He tweeted that he was fine, pending further tests and he was hoping to return as soon as possible.
Gracias a Dios estoy bien, pendiente de estudios y con muchas ganas de volver cuanto antes. Gracias a todos por los mensajes. ⚽️
