Villarreal-Real Sociedad: Gamethread, how to watch

Sort of a preview, too.

How to watch: In the USA, beINSport’s second channel is showing the match live.

What’s at stake: A place in the quarterfinals of the Copa del Rey. With only two of Athletic Club, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Sevilla in the last eight, progressing from the quarters to the semis might be on the cards for the winner of this match, and the Yellow Submarine would certainly like to get their name in the draw.

But first, there’s the pesky matter of overturning a 3-1 deficit from the first leg in Anoeta. The Manu Trigueros goal gives us some hope—certainly a 2-0 win is much more plausible than a 3-0 or 4-0 one—but with La Real looking to defend their lead, the key is going to be whether or not we can score early to put the pressure on them. A first goal could lead to a second, but the first might be tough to come by, especially when I look at our lineup and see Trigueros and Jona missing. But then again, it’s a pretty strong group even so, with Soriano, Sansone, and Samu. A big game from him would certainly help.

Villarreal: Asenjo; Rukavina, Alvaro, Ruiz, Jaume Costa; Castillejo, Rodrigo, Bruno, Roberto Soriano; Santos Borré and Sansone.

On the bench: Barbosa, Super Mario, Bonera, N’Diaye, Trig, Jona and Pato.

Real Sociedad: starting XI is: Rulli; Yuri, I. Martinez, Elustondo, Zaldúa; Zurutuza, Illarramendi, Canales; Oyarzábal, X. Prieto and Willian José.

ENDAVANT VILLARREAL!! A PER LA REMUNTADA!!
