The third qualifying round in the Champions League has come to an end and so, we analyze some of the possible rivals of Villarreal in the play off round.

These are the possible rivals the Yellow Submarine might be facing in the playoff round including AS Roma.

The draw for the qualifying round will be taking place this Friday.

Les Rouges et Blancs turned the tables against Fenerbahçe at the Stade Louis II. Villarreal target Valère Germain scored a brace, and Falcao scored from the PK spot. The tie finished 4-3 on aggregate.

Young Boys

The Swiss side overhauled a 2-0 deficit at the Donbass Arena, leveling the score 2-2 in Swiss lands and defeated the Ukrainian giants on penalty kicks.

Steaua Bucharest

The Romanian side had no major trouble to defeat Czech side Sparta Praha. Nicolae Stanciu, who was rumored to be a Villarreal target, scored a brace with a magnificent volley to ensure victory for Steaua.

FC Rostov

The Russian has made the headlines after advancing to the play off round for the first time in the club’s history after underwhelming defeating Anderlecht 4-2 on aggregate.

It is always difficult to play on Russian lands because of the extreme whether conditions.

Ideally, Monaco and Roma will be the teams that the club will be hoping to avoid, although the remaining teams could be as equally as dangerous.
