The Yellow Submarine have finally completed the signing of Alvaro Gonzalez on a 4 year contract deal. Both Villarreal and Espanyol have confirmed the transfer.

Álvaro made his debut in May 2011 for hometown side Racing de Santander under former Villarreal manager Marcelino García Toral. In 2012, Álvaro moved to Real Zaragoza. After two seasons with the Aragonese side, he moved to RCD Espanyol. Most Most recently, Álvaro was named Espanyol's captain during the Pericos two games in the current season.
