After a period of allegedly negotiations to acquire Musacchio, AC Milan have decided to pull off from signing the Argentina CB as they are not financially able to make a decent offer to Villarreal.
The Rossoneri have failed to sell Carlos Bacca and they were hoping they could use the money from a hypothetical sell of the Colombian in order to acquire Musacchio but that hasn’t been the case. Two of the potential suitors to sign Bacca, (Atleti and West Ham), have already signed Kevin Gameiro and Jonathan Calleri.
In addition to that, AC Milan have lost up €40M in sponsorship deals after failing to secure the sale of the club to the Chinese consortium.
Therefore, Musacchio has been reported to resume training with the club in order to be prepared for the decisive Champions League qualifying clash, speaking of which, Villarreal will be finding about their foe on Friday after the draw.
