Groguet Loan Round up

Primera División:

Adrián Marín was relegated to the bench despite being a starter last week during Leganés historic triumph against Celta de Vigo. During Saturday, the Pepineros had the difficult task to shut down Atlético Madrid. They succeeded against all odds. Adrián Marín came off the bench during the second half to help Leganés secure a draw against Atleti. Something not even the most enthusiasts Leganés fan would even dream of. Props to Leganés in their first season ever in Primera División. Hopefully they manage to stay afloat and Adrián Marín keeps improving with the Pepineros.

Cristian Espinoza made his debut with Alavés during their home match against Sporting Gijón. The Argentine winger came off the bench in the 73rd minute substituting Ibai Gómez. It is rather difficult to make an evaluation of the diminutive player in such a short span of time but Espinoza showed glimpses of his ability and left a good impression. Hopefully Pellegrino gives him the nod during Alavés next match as a starter.

Aleksandar Pantić missed the clash against Gijón due to injury.

Akram Afif did not leave the bench during Sporting Gijón’s stalemate against Alavés. Former Villarreal man Moi Gómez played the entire match.

Matías Nahuel was not included in Betis match-date squad against Deportivo. It’s the second consecutive time that the Argentine-born winger has been left out of the squad by Gus Poyet. No one has a clue why. I have a feeling Gus Poyet might not be finishing the season as Betis manager...

Segunda División:

Alfonso Pedraza made his presence felt for CD Lugo with another goal. Yelko Pino made a clever through ball for the Andalusian winger to place it smoothly in the top corner, making it impossible for the keeper’s reach. Unfortunately, Pedraza’s strike did little to the scoreboard as Lugo conceded 3 goals. They gotta improve their defense if they are to fight for the promotion spots. Former Villarreal canterano Joselu was also involved in the score-sheet for Lugo for the second consecutive time.

We’re glad Pedraza is being greatly benefited from his loan at Lugo. Hopefully he keeps with the remarkable form he’s being showing so far.

Pablo Íñiguez missed Rayo Vallecano’s stalemate against Real Valladolid with injury problems.
