The Mini Submarine fell short against Catalan outfit CF Gavà at El Mini Estadi. Paco López men are still searching for their first victory of the season. Last week Villarreal B fell against UE Cornella.
The B team found themselves in disadvantage as early as within seconds of the match. Ramiro was sent off in the 1st minute and the official signaled to the spot, and subsequently CF Gavà converted the PK. Despite this eary setback, Villarreal did not succumb to the pressure and they did what they know best, dominate the tempo of the game led by a remarkable Dani Raba, who was recently promoted from the C team.
10 minutes into the game, the talented Cantabrian midfielder tested the Catalan GK with a long distance shot. Javi García caught the rebound but was called offside by the referee assistant.
Enter minute 25th when we reached another controversial with Raba involved once again. The midfielder tested Craviotto once again. His saving found Carlos Perez taking the rebound, the ball hit subsequently hit the post and there was Carlos Martinez, who sent the ball into the net. Again the assistant pointed offside in the closing of Carlitos, this time there was no offside and the goal has been canceled erroneously. Against all odds Villarreal dominated the match with Carlos Perez has enjoyed the two clear opportunities for Villarreal "B".
First in another masterful move by Raba who manage to sent a through ball behind the defense and the attacker could not finish the rebound by Craviotto who sent it to corner. In the 31st minute Edgar Ié made a cross into the heart of the box and again the keeper of Gava made another save after the effort of Carlos Perez. Just a minute late the B team found their reward after a perfect combination between Carlos Martinez and Dani Raba who made a cool finish pass Craviotto to give Villarreal B the equalizer.
The second half presented the same tonic of the game. Villarreal B played the whole game with one less player and the score against, nonetheless they have clearly deserved all three points in front of a team that despite playing with numerical superiority has devoted the whole game to defend the result.
Onward and upward.
Endavant!.
