Looks like the striker dilemma for Villarreal has come to an end. The club have acquired the services of Colombian striker Rafael Santos Borré, who will be replacing Roberto Soldado for the time being.

Santos Borré is tipped as one of the brightest prospects in Colombia having made his breakthrough at Deportivo Cali, helping the club win the Apertura title in 2015 and the Superliga Colombiana.
The Colombian striker completed the preseason with Atlético Madrid under manager Diego Pablo Simeone. He featured for the Colchoneros during yesterday’s friendly match in the Trofeo Ramón de Carranza against Cádiz.
Borré was previously rumored to be linked with a move to Villarreal during last summer but eventually nothing materialized.
Santos Borré will be able to feature in the UEFA Champions League tie against Mónaco.
It is rather a bit of a risky move for a unproved player but Santos Borré deserves the benefit of the doubt.
What is you guys impression of Santos Borré?. Do you think it’s a good move for Villarreal?.
