The Yellow Submarine has confirmed the departure of Alfonso Pedraza on a season long loan deal to Galician outfit CD Lugo in the Segunda División without a buy-out option for the Albivermellos.

Pedraza will become the third player from Villarreal that has joined Lugo recent years. Former canterano Joselu joined the club a year ago, Israel Puerto left Villarreal B a season ago to sign with Lugo, and he was recently released. Sergio Marcos spent the last season on loan at Lugo without much success either.
Hopefully Alfonso manages to have a much more productive season than Puerto and Sergio Marcos.
Lugo’s main objective for this upcoming season will be to reach the promotion playoffs as they finished in 14th place last season, 10 points behind the playoffs.
