Champions League 3rd qualifying round draw

The draw was made for the 3rd round of Champions league qualifying.  This is of interest to Villarreal since ten clubs in the "League Route" enter at this point and play each other; the five winners move on to the playoff stage.

The draw is:

Ajax--PAOK

Sparta Prague--Steaua Bucharest

Shaktar Donetsk--Young Boys

FC Rostov-Andelecht

Fenerbahce-Monaco

matches are 26/27 July and 2/3 August.

As a reminder, the five teams entering in the playoff round are Manchester City, Porto and Villarreal (who will all be seeded).

Borussia Munchengladbach and Roma are the other two.

Ajax, Shaktar Donetsk and Andelecht all have higher coefficients than Gladbach or Roma.  So , if those three all win, the seeded teams would be Donetsk and Ajax in addition to the three above; Villarreal could be drawn against Gladbach, Roma, Andelecht, and the winners of the Sparta Prague and Monaco ties.  Nothing easy!
