The B team is looking forward to the upcoming season with new impetus after failing to advance further in the playoff for promotion to the Segunda Division.
Several key figures have left the club already including leading goalscorer Fran Sol who joined Willem II in the Eredivisie, GK skipper Aitor Fernández who joined Numancia, and Carlos Julio who joined Marbella. Pablo íniguez also left the B team to play with Rayo Vallecano in the Segunda Division.
For the upcoming season, manager Paco López has made three signings so far. Promising Ukrainian winger Oleksiy Gutsulyak, Uruguayan CB Guillermo Padula, and most recently, young GK sensation Federico Bonansea from Belgrano de Córdoba on loan for the next 6 months.
Bonansea has been part of the youth U15 and U17 Argentina national teams having played in the 2015 U17 World Cup last year in Chile , and he was called by former Argentina coach Gerardo Martino for the Copa América sparring and trained alongside the biggest names of Sergio Romero, Nahuel Guzmán, Mariano Andújar, Lionel Messi, etc...
