Villarreal interested in Federico Barba according to Gianluca DiMarzio

One of Italy's most reliable journalists, as is Gianluca DiMarizio, claims Villarreal are interesting in snapping up Italian young defender Federico Barba. Barba spent the last 6 months in Germany with VfB Stuttgart on loan from Italian outfit Empoli. Barba is regarded as one of Italy's most promising defenders, and he is part of the Italian U21 national football team. Empoli are reportedly asking for 1,8 million for the transfer of Barba.

Federico Barba would be a potentially good signing for Villarreal. He would arrive on a cheap transfer, with a low risk of failing.
