Villarreal and Betis have reached an agreement for a loan move of Matías Nahuel for two years according to Spanish journal, ABC Sevilla. Matías Nahuel will become Betis third signing for this season after Riza Durmisi and Jonas Martin.

According to ABC, Betis sports director Miguel Tordecilla alongside new appointed manager Gus Poyet, believe that Nahuel will be a good fit for their new project.

Tordecilla publicly acknowledged ongoing negotiations between Betis and Villarreal after the presentation of their new signing, Riza Durmisi. Tordecilla admitted negotiations were advanced and was quite confident in securing a loan move for Nahuel.

The details of deal establish that Nahuel will be joining Betis on a two year loan deal, the same amount of years he has left in his Villarreal contract. Betis will have an option to secure the services of Nahuel on a permanent move at the end of the 2016-17 season. Villarreal will be reserving themselves the right of a buy-back option if Betis end up signing Nahuel permanently. If neither club manages to come to an agreement for a buy-out or buy-back option, there's the possibility that Nahuel will become a free agent at the end of June, 2018, and therefore will be able to sign with any club he wishes at no cost.

Nahuel featured during 20 matches this year after being from promoted from the B team at the start of the season. He played 11 matches as a starter. Interestingly enough, his first debut this season was against Betis at the Benito Villamarín in the season opener for Villarreal that ended in a 1-1 draw.

Nahuel will be heading to Sevilla next week, and if everything works accordingly, he will be putting pen to paper before Betis make the move official.
