Villarreal not happy with loanees’ playing time

Adrian Marin’s, especially, but also Nahuel.

Local paper EPM reported that Villarreal is not happy with the lack of playing time a couple of our loanees are receiving—in particular, Nahuel, who has not settled at Real Betis in what is supposed to be the first year of a two-year deal; he’s played only 80 minutes so far this year.

And one of our brightest prospects, left back Adrián Marín, has not seen a lot of action either for Leganes. He has had some injuries, and did play in their last two matches, so maybe he’ll see more playing time in the second half of the season.

Word is though that Villarreal has made its displeasure known, and is prepared to cancel their existing loans so they can play elsewhere if need be. Evidently the loan agreement must allow for such a cancellation. Sporting is among the teams who his interested in Nahuel.

And, Alfred N’Diaye has returned to training along with the rest of the team; Villarreal have €8m invested in him so are not willing to let him go cheaply.
