Villarreal team to face Toledo in the Copa del Rey is announced

Our squad is:

• Keepers: Barbosa and Andrés Fernández.
• Defenders: Mario, Rukavina, José Àngel, Bonera, Álvaro i Musacchio.
• Midfielders: Jonathan dos Santos, Rodrigo, Trigueros, Cheryshev and Samu Castillejo.
• Strikers: Sansone, Santos Borré and Bakambu.

The first thing you notice about this group is that while there are some first-team players left off (Pato, Jaume Costa, Soriano, Bruno, Victor Ruiz, Asenjo) we haven't called up anyone from the B team.   (Remember, under Marcelino we tended to start a B teamer or two at this point of the competition).

And it certainly makes sense to give Bruno and Victor Ruiz a day off--they have been omnipresent in our squad--of the other absentees, Soriano is interesting given the criticism of his play on Sunday and the fact he was hauled off at halftime.  Is Escribá sending him a message?

As for Alfred N'Diaye, he is listed as injured, with a muscle 'elongation' in his right leg.  So now you know.
