San Francisco On Nov 20: join us!

Any groguets within shouting distance of San Francisco? We have a party planned to watch the Athletic Club-Villarreal match at the Dubliner West Portal in San Francisco.

There is a very active group of Athletic supporters in California (as you may know, a lot of Basques emigrated to the western US in the late 19th century) and many of them will be on hand at the Dubliner to watch the match. My wife Alisa and I will be there supporting Villarreal—we could use more Villarreal fans!

I also understand someone from EibarUSA is planning to attend, and hopefully when we play Eibar in Vila-real we’ll be able to schedule some sort of viewing party with that group.

I understand the bar doesn’t do food but they let you bring in food from across the street. The match starts at 11:45AM Pacific time; the bar will open at 11:30AM. This will be a big match for Athletic as they try to move up the table, and a difficult one for us in San Mamés. It should be fun. And hey, if the match isn’t going so well, there’s Sierra Nevada and Anchor Steam beers on tap....
