Microsoft Bing predicts Villarreal to finish seventh

I guess the machine gets an entry into our prediction contest, huh?

MARCA has a story today about Microsoft's prediction for the 2016-17 la Liga season.  Using machine learning and 'big-data' (hey, that's what the Spanish story says) Bing predicts Real Madrid to win the league (96 points), ahead of Barcelona's 95 and Atleti's 88.

Sevilla (70), Athletic Club (68), Celta (64) and Villarreal (64) are next.  Looks as though Sunday's match could be important then....

Oh, Depor, Granada and Osasuna are relegated, Sporting and Espanyol doing just enough to stay up for another season, but you probably didn't need a computer to tell you that outcome might be likely.  (Sporting's last match is against Betis, whom the computer figures has nothing to play for at that point....just sayin').
