Villarreal are said to be interested in acquiring the services of Jonathan Calleri from Boca Juniors. The Yellow Submarine will be be competing against the likes of US Palermo and Stoke City for the signature of Calleri. The Sicilian outfit has made an initial 8€ million bid for Calleri, and Villarreal would be looking to increase the bid after the possible sale of Vietto. Although Boca Juniors might be tempted by Palermo's offer for Calleri, their chairman Angeleri, will be awaiting to hear a better offer from Villarreal for the services of Calleri.

As for the B team news go, Cayetano Bonnín, better know as Tano, has left the B team team. 'Tano was one of the best performers for the B team this season, playing 31 matches, scoring 1 goa. He even went on to make two appearances with the first team in the Australia tour. José Naranjo will also no longer play for the B team as Villarreal opted not to extend his contract since Naranjo was on loan from Recreativo de Huelva. Naranjo's performances dropped considerably from the beginning. He even went out to make two official appearances with the first team in the Copa del Rey against Cádiz, when he recorded an assist for Gerard, but after that, his performances decreased, and he also sustained a few injuries, and so, the club has decided to opt out on Naranjo's services.
