Tim Sherwood has apparently decided Carles Gil is "too lightweight", and is looking to move him, with Villarreal and Real Sociedad both interested. That's according to a couple of UK media reports.
Gil came up in the Valencia system, spent two years on loan with Elche and was a key part of their promotion club in 2012-13. He's an attacking midfielder, can play on either side. The Villans spent something like €3-4m on him so would presumably like to recover some or all of that.
Gil is Valencia born-and-bred, so might enjoy a return to the Comunitat Valenciana, a short train ride from his home city. We'll see.
