Franco Acosta and Ramiro Guerra called up by Uruguay to play the U-20 World Cup

Franco Acosta and Ramiro Guerra have made the final squad for the U-20 World Cup in New Zealand with Uruguay. Leo Suárez however, has been unfortunately left out of the Argentina squad.

Maria Jose Segovia.

The Cantera Grogueta will be well represented at the 2015 U-20 World Cup in New Zealand by Franco Acosta and Ramiro Guerra from the B and C teams respectively. Both players have been named in Uruguay's final squad to play the tournament. Leo Suárez on the other hand, has been left out of the Argentina squad by coach Humberto Grondona. It has been quite frankly a disappointing decision since Leo was Argentina's best assister at the Sudamericano Sub 20. We hope the best for Suárez, and encourage him to keep working hard. After all, he has all the talent to succeed with the Yellow Submarine. Perhaps he'll be included in Villarreal's squad for the Oceania tour in Australia.

Uruguay are in Group D paired with México, Mali and Serbia. The Charrúas will make their debut against Serbia on May, 31st, then on June 3rd they will facing México, and they will be closing the group stages three days later against Mali.

There are 6 groups total. The best two placed teams from each group advance to the knockout stage, and the best four third placed teams will also make knockout stages.

Coverage of the 2015 U-20 World Cup will be broadcasted by FOX Sports in English, and also by network NBC Universo in Spanish.

We wish the best of luck two our Young Submarines, Franco Acosta and Ramiro Guerra, and we hope Uruguay can achieve the same success they achieved two years ago when they reached the final of the U-20 World Cup in Turkey.
