An aimlessly Villarreal B falls to Mallorca B at the Balearic Islands

The Young Submarine found no luck at the Balearic Islands, after losing 1-0 to Mallorca, in a match marked by woes as Nahuel had to come off injured since the 4th minute, and Leo Suárez was sent off in the dying minutes of the game.

Villarreal B failed to earn a third consecutive victory after falling to Mallorca 1-0. It was a well disputed match by both sides in which Villarreal had the initiative and the best goal scoring chances, but it was Mallorca who earned the 3 points at the end.

The game began very unfortunate for Villarreal interests as Nahuel had to come off very early in the 4th minute due to an adductor injury. It was Alfonso, author of the winning goal last week against Atlético Baleares, who replaced Nahuel in the attacking front.

Mallorca scored the only goal on the match in the first chance they had. Brandon reached the ball on the left side of the pitch, he went straight ahead, and ended up scoring with a powerful right shot in the 37th minute. Meanwhile, Villarreal dominated posession of the ball but they end up lacking that last touch to really become a danger in the box.

During the second half, Villarreal created more chances, although none of those could end up in goal. In the final compasses, the Mini Submarine managed to corner Mallorca in their own box but they found no reward to their efforts.

It was in the additional minutes when Villarreal B suffered another misfortune as Leo Suárez was sent off in the last seconds of the match due to a second yellow card. Mallorca had one of their players, Kassim, previously sent off.

Villarreal B next match will be the Valencian derby on March, 14, against Hércules at the Mini Estadi at 18.00 hours.
