Cantera Update: Manuel Morlanes and Daniel Villanueva called up for the elite round of the UEFA U17 Championship

La Roda players, Manu Morlanes and Dani Villanueva have been called up by the Spanish U17 national team for the elite round of the UEFA Under-17 Championship. Additionally, Villarreal youngsters, Iván Martín, Pedro García and Jorge Galdón, have been called up to the Spanish U16 national team for training at Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas.

The Spanish national under-17 football team has called up Villarreal youngsters, Manuel Morlanes and Daniel Villanueva to take part in the elite round of the UEFA U17 Championship that will take place in the coastal town of Benidorm in the Providence of Alicante, part of the Valencian community, between March 20th to 26th.

The calendar of matches for Spain is the following:

  • Friday, March 20th: España-Suecia, Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor, 18.00 hours
  • Sunday,March 22nd: España-Israel, Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor, 18.00 hours
  • Wednesday, March 25th: Francia-España, Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor, 18.00 hours

    • Additionally, the Spanish national under-16 team has called three Yellow Submarine youngsters, Iván Martín, Pedro García y Jorge Galdón , for a set of training sessions that will take place between the 16th and 18th of March at Ciudad del Fútbol de Las Rozas. With these call ups, Villarreal is the club that provides most players to the Spanish U16 national team.
