Villarreal draw fellow Spanish side Sevilla in the EL round of 16

Villarreal are drawn against defending champions Sevilla in the Europa League round of 16. Disapoointing in that we won't have a trip to a 'foreign land', nor welcome a side from elsewhere in Europe to El Madrigal, but it looks like an even tie.

Villarreal learned this morning they're facing fellow La Liga side Sevilla in the round of 16.  Ironically enough, the two legs of the tie almost bracket their league meeting at El Madrigal.

Villarreal will host Sevilla on March 12, play away at Almeria on March 15 in the league, play away at Sevilla on March 19 (who knows, we might just stay down in Andalusia and practice there?) and then Sevilla travel to El Madrigal again to play us on March 22 in the league.

The complete draw is:

Everton-Dinamo Kiev

Dnipro-Ajax

Zenit-Torino

Wolfsburg-Inter

Villarreal-Sevilla

Napoli-Dinamo Moscow

Club Brugge-Besiktas

Fiorentina-Roma

On the face of it, I'd say Zenit's passage to the last 8 was pretty much assured, and I would expect Fiorentina are as disappointed as we to be facing rivals form their own league.  Dnipro-Ajax and Brugge-Besiktas ensure there will be a couple of teams in the final 8 that might not be as tough a draw as some, let's just say that.
