Three Villarreal canteranos, Nahuel Leiva, Aleix García, and Rodrigo Hernández, have been called up by the Spanish under-19 national team for a training session at the Ciudad del Fútbol de las Rozas (Madrid), which is the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, between the 2nd and 4th of March.
Nahuel is a regular starter for the B team, and has been seeing activity with the first team. Aleix alternates between the C and the B team, and Rodri was just recently promoted to the B team from the Juvenil A in the absence of Sergio Marcos who is now a regular for the first team.
Additionally, the 3 young submarines, along other 7 Villarreal canteranos, have been chosen by the technical committee of the Fútbol Draft 2015, that attempts to reward and recognize some of the best young Spanish prospects.
The remaining players that have been chosen by the Fútbol Draft 2015, are Adrián Marín, Eduardo Adell, Javi Ramírez, Manuel Morlanes, Moi Gómez, Nahuel Leiva, Daniel Villanueva, and Iván Martín.
Congratulations to these young canteranos of Villarreal. It is great that their work in the youth Spanish national teams is getting recognized and rewarded. It is also a recognition for the outstanding work that Villarreal has been doing in these past years with youth teams.
