Villarreal injury update--Uche and Jona may be available Thursday

Word from training today is Ike Uche and Jonathan dos Santos both trained normally, so should be available for Thursday's match against Salzburg.   Bojan Jokic apparently trained with the main group and may be available in about two weeks.

Denis Cheryshev has a number of stitches and a couple of staples in his head after being kicked by a Rayo player, but should be able to play with some sort of protective headgear.  Let's hope he doesn't have to head the ball very much.

Sergio Marcos looks to be training with the first team in Bruno's absence after his fine debut.

Our Europa League opponents on Thursday, Red Bull Salzburg, just returned to action after a two-month winter break, defeating the bottom team in the 10-team Austrian league, Wiener Neustadt, 2-0 in Vienna; both goals were by Jonathan Soriano.

Red Bull did weaken themselves significantly over the winter break, selling midfielder Kevin Kampl to Dortmund and Brazilian striker Alan to a Chinese team (€23m came in from those sales) but they still have goalscoring talent--as Sergio Asenjo is well aware.

Red Bull will be flying into Valencia and staying in a hotel in Castellon (training tomorrow at El Madrigal) and have brought about 400 fans.  We'll have a full preview tomorrow.
