Villarreal squad for tomorrow's match announced, and Europa League as well

Villarreal has announced the players that will be available for tomorrow's match against Barcelona, and also have submitted the list of players they'll choose from for the Europa League knockout rounds.

First things first: tomorrow's match.  The only real surprise is Uche's injury which sees him dropped.   Adrian Marin and Bojan Jokic are still out.

  • Keepers: Asenjo y Juan Carlos.
  • Defenders: Mario, Rukavina, Jaume Costa, Víctor Ruiz, Dorado y Musacchio.
  • Midfielders: Bruno, Pina, Jonathan dos Santos, Trigueros, Cheryshev, Moi Gómez y Campbell.
  • Strikers: Vietto, Gerard Moreno y Giovani.

I am expecting Musacchio and Ruiz (I guess) in the middle, flanked by Mario and Jaume Costa; surely Cheryshev will start, also Vietto and probably Gio (though maybe Gerard).  What do you think?  Marcelino was optimistic in his press conference; we've played well against Barca the last few matches, but just haven't had any luck when it comes to the scoreline (a lot of that has had to do with Messi, for sure).

Eric Bailly isn't available for this match, but he is on the list of players submitted by Villarreal for the knockout rounds in the Europa League.  So too Joel Campbell and Jose Naranjo; those three replaced Gabriel, Javier Espinosa and Cani.

The dates and times have been announced for the Almeria and Sevilla matches (my goodness, nearly a month and a half in advance!!).  Both are Sunday matches, Almeria is 7pm Spanish time March 15, Sevilla is 5pm a week later.  If we make it past Red Bull, we will have a match in the Europa League in midweek; I suppose it could be on Wednesday or Thursday.
