GameThread: Barcelona vs. Villarreal

Villarreal visits Camp Nou in a battle of two of La Liga's high-fliers. Will the Yellow Submarine continue its streaks of a goal and result in 18 consecutive matches?

Teams are in.

Barcelona XI (4-3-3): Bravo; Alves, Piqué, Mascherano, Alba; Busquets, Iniesta, Rafinha; Suárez, Messi, Neymar.

Villarreal XI (4-2-2-2): Asenjo; Mario, Musacchio, Ruiz, Costa; Bruno, Pina; J. dos Santos, Cheryshev; Vietto, Gio.

No surprises forthe hosts -- while Iniesta still pulls the strings, Rafinha is someone to key on. And of course Messi's magic. Suarez and Ruiz should be an interesting matchup, and we'll see how far Musacchio has come from his long injury layoff.

In terms of the visitors' XI, Pina for Trigueros is designed to clog up the midfield. Bruno will have more of the offensive responsibilities to get the ball to the front three. Jona's positioning will be interesting -- if it's more of Lotina's favorite trivote, or if the Mexican plays as a true winger. Let's hope the Lucho in yellow gets the best of his Argentine defensive compatriot, and that the dos Santos brothers enact a bit of revenge on their former employers. Oh, and Chery shows his true colors.

The match begins at 3 pm Eastern Time and airs around the world. No pressure today -- time to put on a show. Endavant Villarreal!
