Villarreal B and C also post wins this weekend

Pending the result of the Reus match later today, our B team is back in first place, while Villarreal C, after nine draws in eleven matches, take all three points.

Just as Villarreal's first team went off the boil for the latter part of October, so too did our B team, with a couple of draws and last week's loss to Badalona, a totally undeserved result.  But this week the B,  just like their bigger "brother", got back to winning ways.

Villarreal's second team posted an impressive 2-0 win over Sabadell today in the Mini Estadi, with goals form Fran Sol and Carlos Martinez.  With this win, Villarreal temporarily, at least, takes over first place in their division, though Reus can move ahead with a win over Barcelona's second team later today.

And Manu Viana scored the only goal of the match as Villarreal C won on the road at Paterna, 1-0.  That win moves them ahead of Castellón (who lost this morning) and puts them in the middle of the table with 12 goals for, 12 allowed, 2 wins, 9 draws, and 1 loss.

Next week Villarreal B have a tough trip to Atletico Baleares, who are doing well this season and have only lost once at home.

If you'd like to watch the replay of the Sabadell match, here you go.  Note that we now have announcers and replays on the Villarreal TV broadcasts!

And here are the goals from the 4-0 victory of Villarreal's "u-21" team (basically the B team) over PSV Eindhoven:
