International break gives Villarreal players time to recuperate

New, comments

We should have a much stronger club to face Celta than we did last Sunday. And, since we have time for it, let's catch up with our loanees.

Maria José Segovia

Word from the local paper (EPM) is that most of our injured players should be fine for the Celta match on the 18th.  Leo Baptistao, Adrian Lopez, Cedric Bakambu, and Bruno Soriano are all expected to be available by then--the only doubt is Denis Suarez, who might be available--or might not.

Suarez is an interesting case, since Barcelona could supposedly buy him back in January.  Then again, since Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal become available then, why worry?

Villarreal loanee watch:

Alexsandar Pantic: three matches out of seven with Eibar.  BTW, he is out of contract in June 2016.

Javier Espinosa: has a goal for Elche in 400 minutes so far.  Villarreal contract until June 2017.

Moi Gómez: I got no idea what is going on here, but our young talent has played 17 minutes so far.  Yawn. (When Alisa and I saw Villarreal-Sevilla last season, he was the most impressive player on the pitch....)

Sergio Marcos: 7 matches for Lugo, two goals.  Good deal.
