Villarreal interested in Espanyol defender. Not Moreno?!

AS is usually not too far off on its rumors, but this one is a surprise.  With many of us thinking we are going to table a bid for Mexican international center back Moreno, according to AS we have made a huge bid for a young Ivory Coast international, Eric Bailly, who has played less than 400 minutes in La Liga so far.

Should we believe this?  Not sure; he's the sort of player we might like, but for that sort of price when he has hardly begun his career?  Hard to tell, but we've had good success with young center backs (Musacchio, Gabriel).

€5m seems a lot, but Espanyol have rejected it, at least for now.  Watch this space.
