Leo Suarez scores for Argentina U-20; Acosta joins Villarreal-CONFIRMED

South American under-20 championship is continuing in Uruguay; Villarreal has a scout there (as do many other clubs) looking at young talent. Word is we may be signing a young Uruguay striker. And it has now been confirmed by the club!

Leo Suarez, who will join Villarreal B after this tournament, came off the bench and scored a goal in Argentina's 6-2 mauling of Peru.  He did not play in the albiceleste's first two matches, a 5-2 win over Ecuador and a 1-0 loss to Paraguay.

A Uruguayan newspaper is reporting Franco Acosta will become a Villarreal player in the coming weeks.   He has played 90 minutes in each of Uruguay's two matches (both wins) so far.  He is 18 and plays for Fenix in Uruguay's first division.

I do note his wikipedia page claims he is now property of FC Braga in Portugal, so either someone is jumping the gun or is editing his page to reflect wishful thinking!

UPDATE-- WHile I was posting this word came through we have indeed made this signing.  He has signed for 5 years and will join Villarreal B after the tournament!
